Xps 420 Ethernet Driver
I unfortunately unintentionally installed Windows 10 on my older Dell XPS 420 some 7 or 8 months ago and everything was going along fine until last Thursday, June 16 @ 11:30am. I was in the middle of playing a game and all of a sudden, my computer hada catastrophic crash. I couldn't get back to the desktop, so I hit the power button and rebooted. Since then, i have not been able to get back onto the desktop in a non-Safe Mode fashion.

I then had a BSOD error come on my screen indicating DRIVER IRQL NOTLESS THAN OR EQUAL TO (dxgmms2.sys). I researched for over a two day period and come to find out that it is a DirectX error. Thinking that DirectX had something to do with my NVidia GTX 470 GPU, i contacted Nvidia, and after many tries and reboots, discoveredthat it is an operating system registry error.
Why in the. is Microsoft basically FORCING users to update to 10? What about those people who have older systems? I use my PC for my business and cannot use a laptop to do it.
I am now out of work andcannot afford to spring at least $1000 on a new system right now. I took my PC over to the local Staples, whom I have trusted for many years with all of my PC's in the past, and even THEY think that my system cannot run Windows 10. Which oneof yall at Microsoft is gonna be buying me a new PC?
